Nachsommer

Throughout his life, Olof has lived in the shadow of his self-assured brother Carl. Carl was the mother's favorite but fell from grace when he emigrated to the USA with his wife Klara, with whom Olof has his own history, and their two sons for career reasons. Many years later, the mismatched brothers reunite at their mother's deathbed in her country house in the southern Finnish archipelago – along with their families, old rivalries and dreams, mistakes and missed opportunities. It doesn't take long for the peace of late summer that hangs over the island to become fragile. Just in time, Olof realizes that the moment has come to step out of his brother's shadow.
