Nachsommer

Throughout his life, Olof has been in the shadow of his self-confident brother Carl. Carl was his mother's favourite, but fell out of favour when he emigrated to the USA with his wife Klara (with whom Olof has his own story) and their two sons for career reasons. Now, many years later, the disparate brothers meet again at their mother's deathbed, in her country home in the southern Finnish archipelago - and with them their families, old rivalries and dreams, mistakes and failures. It is not long before the peace of the late summer that hangs over the island becomes fragile. Just in time, Olof realizes that the moment has come to step out of his brother's shadow.
