How can health promotion be a valuable offering for so-called socially marginalized groups? To answer this question, formal criteria for successful health promotion are explored based on narrative interviews, focusing on the needs of the socially disadvantaged residents of a Kremserhäuschen settlement in the Graz district of Liebenau. The community-oriented approach to the topic aims to help the target audience gain more decision-making and design competencies regarding their living conditions, as well as to illustrate the complexity and diversity of health promotion.
