Nachhaltige Entwicklung ländlicher Räume

Rural areas in Europe are undergoing a significant differentiation process. While some are developing into profitable agricultural locations and attractive tourism regions, others are characterized by unemployment and rural exodus. The authors of this volume aim to enhance the appreciation of rural areas and provide impulses for their sustainable development. Through practical examples, it is demonstrated how regional management can be successfully designed and implemented. A focus is placed on environmentally friendly agriculture, which is seen as an advocate for rural areas and a guardian of the cultural landscape, particularly in relation to Germany and Europe. The Neuseddiner Message, which emerged from the international conference "Actions for Sustainable Development in Rural Areas - Improving Opportunities through Innovations and Tradition Preservation" in Neuseddin, aims to further expand networking in rural areas with regional value chains.
