For three years, Heinz Strunk wrote a diary in public, in the 'Titanic', it began as a kind of parody of diaries of important writers ("Nachmittags eine Gabe von Thee"), but soon developed a life all of its own in a wide field between unserious character speech, short essay writing, aphorism, nonsense, gloom and also not a little profundity. This column has now become a book. Divided into 12 months, Strunk brings together things that are worlds apart: "everyday observations," readings, private television evenings with lots of alcohol, aphorisms, introspection on aging, silly "career tips," and sometimes poetry. Thus, the "Intimschatulle" is quite great humorist class and in this form without precedent.
