My marriage with Marcel Duchamp- Memoirs

Fifty years later, Mrs. Fischer (1903-1988) recorded her memories of this brief, extremely turbulent, and also painful time. She describes the shared, dadaistically humorous evenings with Picabia and Ray, as well as the many encounters with Kiki de Montparnasse, Constantin Brancusi, Jean Cocteau, Robert Desnos, Jacques Doucet, and other personalities. Her first romantic experiences with the charming beau are also mentioned, all without resentment or feelings of revenge. This remarkable document remained strangely unpublished for decades. We now present it in German translation, along with a highly informative afterword by the great Duchamp specialist Herbert Molderings. This brief episode of marriage has been either completely omitted or only cursorily mentioned in almost all Duchamp biographies for decades.
