Product details

The classic for the diagnosis of mental disorders in children and adolescents The Multiaxial Classification Scheme for Childhood and Adolescent Mental Disorders is based on the ICD-10 classification of the WHO. Child and adolescent psychiatry extended this basis on an empirical basis to a six-axis system: The first axis covers the clinical-psychiatric syndrome, the second refers to the circumscribed developmental delays, the third to the intelligence level, the fourth to the physical symptoms, the fifth to abnormal associated psychosocial circumstances and the sixth to the level of social adaptation. The clinical-psychiatric syndromes are classified in this multidimensional picture by reference to the diagnostic criteria. Thanks to the worldwide cooperation of child and adolescent psychiatric institutions, we are able to provide a comprehensive overview of the psychiatric syndromes.
