This manual is a modular training for mothers with borderline personality disorder, which can be offered in groups, but also in individual settings. The everyday life of people with this disorder is characterised by permanent crises and extreme fluctuations in mood, self-esteem and identity. Often, those affected react very impulsively and self-damagingly in stressful situations - if people suffering from such mood swings and problems are responsible for the development of a child, a vicious circle ensues: the children show a significantly increased risk of becoming mentally ill themselves.
The manual offers background knowledge and concrete advice for practical work with mothers with BPD. The topics of fathers/partners and institutions are also covered. The working materials are easy to understand and attractively illustrated.
