Morgans Reise

The novel revolves around an old painter, Jakob Morgan, who experiences only moderate success with his narrative-geometric paintings on ancient themes. He encounters the attractive lawyer Vera Meister, who specializes in art processes and becomes embroiled in a significant fraud scandal due to her partner. Additionally, there is an Empire secretary with sophisticated secret compartments who is eventually taken by Jakob Morgan to the Pacific island of N'uto, where Vera Meister seeks a new environment, as she is suspected of complicity with a multimillion-dollar fraudster. The novel also explores the theme of aging. Jakob Morgan retreats into the world of his paintings and reflects on the coincidences that have shaped his life.
