Deepdean Girls' School, 1934. When Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong establish their own strictly secret detective agency, there isn't really any exciting crime to investigate at first. But then Hazel discovers the teacher Miss Bell dead in the gymnasium. At first, she thinks it was a terrible accident. But when Daisy and she return five minutes later, the body has disappeared. Now the girls are sure: a murder has taken place here! And not just one person in Deepdean had a motive. Now Daisy and Hazel not only have a murder case to solve - first, they must prove that it was indeed a murder. Determined to get to the bottom of things before the murderer can strike again (and before the police are involved, of course), Hazel and Daisy must search for evidence, spy on suspects, and use all their intuition.
