The TEACCH Transition Assessment Profile (TTAP) is a procedure for diagnostic assessment aimed at adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorder and mild to severe intellectual disabilities. Due to its flexibility in administration and the minimal linguistic component in the test tasks, the TTAP is particularly tailored to this target group. However, it can also be effectively used with individuals who have cognitive impairments without autism. Designed to purposefully plan the transition of young people into adulthood, the TTAP is also suitable for the diagnostic assessment of already adult clients. It is used in both initial and ongoing assessments. The TTAP includes tasks and behavioral observations in a direct testing situation, as well as two structured interviews to gather information.
