Mobilisierung und Stimulation von neuromuskulärem Gewebe

The mobilization and stimulation of neuromuscular tissue (MaSoNT) is an innovative treatment approach aimed at triggering functional recovery of the upper and lower hemiplegic extremities in stroke patients. This textbook analyzes the physiology underlying the approach, as well as the evidence supporting its safety and clinical utility. Above all, this textbook focuses on the application process, showcasing the variety of techniques implemented in the concept, explaining and describing in detail how and when each technique should be applied, and proposing a prognostic tool based on one of the MaSoNT techniques. The concept is newly invented and offers, although it is not yet widely adopted, a simple, quick, and cost-effective therapeutic alternative for physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists.
