1. Introduction

Conflicts and disputes in the workplace have always existed. However, in today's world, there is an increasing awareness of the issue of bullying. There is a wealth of literature on workplace bullying, and the engagement with this phenomenon is international. Besides the human tragedy for those affected, the societal discourse surrounding bullying has become increasingly important, as a work environment tainted by bullying can lead to significant economic losses, such as a lack of identification with the company or high frictional costs. The state has also addressed workplace bullying in recent years, as the consequences of bullying, such as early retirement and the need for treatment of related illnesses, lead to employees exiting the labor market.
