Product details
On the night of April 22 to 23, 1945, the geographer, diplomat, and writer Albrecht Haushofer was shot by SS men after spending months as a prisoner of the Gestapo in the Berlin-Moabit prison. His brother Heinz, who was also imprisoned, found among the deceased a collection of eighty sonnets, which are among the most significant and impactful testimonies of literary resistance against Nazi Germany.
