Mittelmoränen

Medial moraines are a well-known feature of many of our glaciers. They act as actual debris conveyor belts. At their end, rock debris accumulates and, with consistent ice levels over the centuries, forms significant hills. This is particularly true for the glaciers of the Ice Age. The book begins with a general overview of glaciology and subsequently describes glacial landforms that can be traced back to medial moraines. It also addresses the theoretical implications of this still controversial perspective.
