Human Resource Management is becoming increasingly important in today's economy, as people and their knowledge are the key aspects that influence a company's productivity. One of the main aspects of Human Resource Management is measuring employee satisfaction. Companies must ensure that employee satisfaction among their workforce is high, as this is a prerequisite for increasing productivity, responsiveness, quality, and customer service. The aim of this study was to analyze the level of employee satisfaction and work motivation in a supermarket in Eastern Finland. It also addressed the impact of culture on employee satisfaction. The theoretical framework of this research includes concepts such as leadership, job satisfaction, motivation, rewards, and cultural differences. The empirical part of the study and the questionnaire were developed based on these concepts. The research covers the fundamentals of employee satisfaction and work motivation and could therefore be useful for beginners interested in the field of Human Resource Management.
