Product details

A magnificent example of North German brick architecture is Schwerin Cathedral, which dominates the skyline of the city from afar. Completed in 1416 as the successor to a Romanesque porch, the church impresses with its light-filled interior. In 1948, it received its most important piece of furnishings, the cross altar created and donated by Conrad Loste in 1495, back from the museum. The oldest piece of equipment in the cathedral is the bronze baptismal font from 1325, which is richly decorated with figurative reliefs.
