Mirada: Aktuell. Lehr- und Arbeitsbuch

Mirada aktuell is a teaching resource with an integrated workbook that leads to level A2 of the European Framework. The teaching material provides a suitable progression for beginners, covering the fundamental language elements and structures necessary for communication in everyday situations as well as in a tourist context.

Mirada aktuell consists of 18 lessons that are structured linearly and include the following elements:

• a picture-driven introduction to the topic
• colloquial dialogues to introduce new content
• listening and reading texts for systematic training of listening and reading skills
• various types of exercises, ranging from highly guided to diverse transfer exercises
• numerous illustrations and realia.

Cultural studies are integrated into the texts and exercises. Grammar is highlighted in the lesson through structure boxes and systematically presented at the end of the book.

The integrated workbook is designed for individual work at home. The exercise section includes written exercises to reinforce the learning material, systematic pronunciation exercises, and study tips. Tests and self-evaluation based on the can-do descriptors of the framework allow for regular and independent monitoring of learning progress. The workbook also contains tasks modeled after the European Language Certificate Start Exam A1 and Nivel Elemental A2.
