Microzonificacion sísmica

The book "Microzonificación sísmica" offers a comprehensive analysis of seismic hazard in the city of Managua, Nicaragua. It is based on scientific studies that examine the behavior of the terrain during specific earthquake movements. By considering geological characteristics, the magnitude of earthquakes, construction quality, and soil mechanics, the potential level of damage from earthquake events in this region is assessed. The aim of this research is to evaluate seismic hazard to promote orderly urban development and ensure the safety of the population as well as the protection of assets. The book describes both direct and indirect methods for conducting microzoning, with the latter relying on extensive data from field and laboratory investigations. This publication is the result of a valuable collaboration with Editorial Académica Española and a team of experienced engineers.
