Microgreens: Mangold und Grüner Senf

This book contains data on soilless culture, specifically Microgreens, where the authors have focused on Swiss chard and green mustard. This research particularly examined the effects of different nutrient combinations, pH levels, and EC values on the growth of Swiss chard and green mustard. The study demonstrated the production of only two types of Microgreens, but previous studies have shown that not all Microgreens contain all vitamins and minerals, making it advisable to consume a variety of Microgreens for a balanced diet. The production of Microgreens in soilless culture has proven to be time, energy, and water-efficient. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that nutrient treatment enhances the quality and quantity of Microgreens. This study provides a clear understanding of the potential benefits of Microgreens. Microgreens can be grown in very small spaces and do not require pesticides or insecticides, making them suitable for home cultivation and consumption.
