Microdosing

Can powerful psychedelics and other psychotropic substances optimize everyday consciousness? Can LSD, psilocybin, DMT, and mescaline be used to better meet the demands of daily life? And can psychedelic molecules, even outside their visionary potential, actually serve to enhance an individual's integration into social interactions? Proponents of an increasingly popular practice of using psychoactives claim so. They call this application of substances below the psychotropic threshold "microdosing," and many swear that this technique of taking minimal amounts of psychotropic substances can improve concentration, physical fitness, and overall health. However, in light of academic research, the situation looks different, as the effects reported by users have so far been difficult, if not impossible, to replicate in scientific settings. This book provides a summary of the most common reports on microdosing from the psychedelic underground, as well as the insights gained from science to date.
