In 1986, physicist, mechanical engineer, and inventor Wilfried Hacheney established the technological foundations for ultra-intensely vortexed water, which he called 'levitated water.' It was the first time that structurally qualitatively altered water was discussed. The topic of drinking water was only known from a chemical perspective.

Unintentionally, he triggered an avalanche of imitators who continue to populate the so-called water scene today, speaking of water energization without typically understanding how this is supposed to work physically.

Wilfried Hacheney explained levitated water using the term negative gravitation, which often met with misunderstanding. Nevertheless, he remained a convinced scientist who, in his writings and lectures, advocated for a renewal of the natural sciences for a better understanding of life processes.

After completing my degree in geophysics, I repeatedly tried to translate his concepts into generally understandable language during countless conversations with my father. However, only from today's perspective can I claim to have truly understood, particularly the physical background of levitated water that he postulated. To develop a profound understanding of this topic, one must incorporate the findings of modern physics and leave behind our accustomed everyday understanding, which is still largely based on 19th-century physics. Only the insights of quantum physics, especially the work of Niels Bohr and Werner Heisenberg, provide physical explanations.
