The target group aged 50 and over is as heterogeneous as few other age groups and can be roughly divided into four categories: high-performing and performance-driven seniors, those who remain fit and focus on leisure and recreational sports, newcomers or returners to sports in later life, and the elderly and disabled, for whom games can only be played with limitations. The book provides game-theoretical and medical insights for playing in old age and offers detailed game suggestions, primarily categorized by their applicability for the first three groups of older individuals described. The last two chapters deal with games for special occasions and tips for teaching games.
