Measuring and testing - the emphasis is on the "and". This textbook shows the connection between measuring and testing, measuring models and test theory. This enables undergraduate and graduate students to gain a profound understanding of these two areas, which are usually dealt with separately. This is facilitated by a sophisticated didactic concept: The book is divided into introductory, application and in-depth chapters. For each chapter there are numerous examples, learning goal control questions (with answers) and exercises (with solutions), highlighting of essentials in marginal columns, compilations of the most important chapter statements in boxes, coloured underlays and pictograms, chapter summaries and references to further literature facilitate a quick orientation.
