The two-volume workbook series "Learning Situations in Office Management" follows the approach of learning field concepts and promotes career-oriented, holistic, and self-directed learning among students. Each individual workbook covers the learning fields of a training year. The learning fields of the framework curriculum are specified in the form of learning situations. In this way, the workbooks deepen the idea of competence orientation (situation-related, problem-oriented, competence-enhancing), document competence acquisition due to their workbook character, and relieve teachers of the burden of lesson preparation, copying, and didactic annual planning. The learning situations also support students' teamwork skills as well as their ability to present and discuss. Thus, they promote competencies that go far beyond mere subject-specific knowledge.
