The work "Mên'à bukolè (poetry of praise) of the Bakwà Beeya. Study of descriptions" offers a comprehensive analysis of the oral literature of the Bakwà Beeya, an ethnic group from the Kasaï Central province in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The aim of this study is to collect and transcribe oral texts in order to preserve them for future generations. The authors, Crispin Maalu Bungi and Ruth Mukuna, highlight the significance of traditional literature as a cultural heritage that not only reflects the history and values of the community but also serves as a medium for moral teachings and worldviews. In light of the threat posed by the loss of these traditions, this book is an important contribution to the preservation and understanding of Congolese oral art and its role in society.
