Meister-Eckhart-Jahrbuch Band 16 (2022)

The Meister-Eckhart-Jahrbuch is the publication organ of the Meister-Eckhart-Gesellschaft and accepts scholarly contributions from the entire Eckhart research community. They focus on studies of Eckhart's life (ca. 1260-1328) and work in his time, Eckhart's writings, his teaching, his far-reaching impact since the Middle Ages, the topicality of his thought and the new understanding of spiritual literature of the late Middle Ages and the early modern period as a whole. The contributions published in the yearbook come mainly from the disciplines of philosophy, theology, German studies and history - but the yearbook is also open to scholarly contributions from other disciplines. Literary forms of presentation are investigation, edition, documentation, miscellany and research report (collective review). More extensive works, including text editions, are made accessible to researchers through "Beihefte zum Meister-Eckhart-Jahrbuch".The "Meister-Eckhart-Jahrbuch" (MEJb) and its supplements are refereed. Contributions and studies submitted for publication are subject to an anonymous peer review process, which decides on inclusion in the journal or series.
