Was ist Aufklärung?

This volume contains, in addition to the essay from 1784 mentioned in the title, the small but significant writings of Kant on politics and the philosophy of history from the Berlin Monthly. In these writings, the philosopher from Königsberg aimed to show his readers that each individual is called to escape self-imposed immaturity and to commit themselves freely to the establishment of a social status in which no one can be disadvantaged or favored based on their origin.
