Product details

The journey through Western Europe begins for Slavcho with the realization that he cannot find work in his first country, Italy. He has to come up with something to earn a living. In Venice, he creates stencils and fills the empty spots on the streets with paint. This is how he earns his first money. With his modest painting, he travels through Germany to France, until he meets Norman in Nice. The skilled painter teaches him the basics of acrylic technique. Over the course of ten years, Slavcho's travels take him through half of Europe. At first alone, later accompanied by his dog Lourd and cat Matz. The book "My Many Paths to Happiness" provides insights into the everyday lives of people living on the streets of Europe. It allows us to share in what occupies their minds and simultaneously reveals their extensive networks of relationships. The multifaceted work discusses the various rules that street artists must adhere to. It also tells of the freedom and joy of life inherent in this lifestyle, the solidarity among one another, as well as threatening situations and breaches of trust.
