Right on the small, bustling marketplace of Gingst on the beautiful island of Rügen, Petra Dittrich from Rügen has fulfilled her lifelong dream: After twenty turbulent years in the big city, she opens her first own bookstore here - despite risks and side effects. Her store becomes a living room, for herself as well as for all the people who visit her here and are inspired by her. After a morning walk by the sea in the storm and rain, she warms up with a cup of tea in the store and greets her clientele with a glass of sea buckthorn liqueur. The bookseller has the right book for every situation. Among her customers are book lovers, both dear and strange - die-hard islanders as well as tourists. She is rewarded with jam from her neighbor's garden, personal conversations and the German Book Trade Award - twice! And when Petra Dittrich has time off, she enjoys the very special charm of the island and retreats to the dunes to read.
