Mein Leben

Peter Scholl-Latour's last work, his autobiography, is a legacy to his readers. Here, he recounts in detail for the first time his childhood in the Catholic-dominated Ruhr area, his youth as a "first-degree mixed-race" individual in Nazi Germany and at a Swiss Jesuit college, his detention by the Gestapo during the last months of the war, and his time as a French paratrooper in Indochina. Following his studies at the Sorbonne, he embarked on a journalistic career that often took him to the front lines of crisis hotspots around the world, culminating in the Vietnam War.
