When the brothers can't even comfort her with a message from a carrier pigeon, they grow tired of her lamenting. But the cat is fed up too. "Stop with the nonsense and show me the way, right now!" She transforms into an ordinary girl, and the journey home together becomes enjoyable. As a farewell, one brother turns into a handkerchief, while the other waves it. Illustrator Eva Muggenthaler once again serves as Jürg Schubiger's brilliant companion through this remarkable story. Inspired, she creates fantastic spaces, building sets into which the characters walk in and out. She dynamically brings the boys' antics to life and effortlessly weaves together what the author narrates in a straightforward, subtle, and surprising manner.
