Max Weber und seine Kreise

This volume contains 16 texts by M. Rainer Lepsius (1928-2014) on Max Weber, which have a more essayistic character. They address Weber's questions and the impact of his work, Weber's professional political endeavors, the biographical, contemporary historical, and scientific context that shaped Weber, as well as the continued relevance of his work in the Max Weber Complete Edition. The texts published here were written over a period of approximately 30 years. Among them are four previously unpublished texts from his estate: on the shaping of humans by political orders, on Max Weber and the German university, on Max Weber as a traveler in Italy, and a treatise on the Heidelberg Max Weber House at Ziegelhäuser Landstrasse 17.
