Workbook 6 "Big and Small" encourages comparisons of lengths, monetary values, times, durations, areas, volumes, weights, quantities, and place values. Engaging with various learning opportunities fosters a sense of magnitude. Organizing, bundling, forming categories, and comparing also prepare students for a solid understanding of place value for efficient operations. Workbook 6 "Big and Small" is divided into three chapters: Lines and Areas, Numbers, and Personal Paths (rich and self-differentiating tasks for high-achieving children as well as heterogeneous groups). MATHWELT 1 consists of six workbooks. The themes "How Many?", "Beautiful Patterns", "Addition and Subtraction", "Buying and Selling", "Multiplication and Division", and "Big and Small" support individual skill development according to Curriculum 21 and implement the action aspects. All offerings are marked with symbols indicating the competency levels. All workbooks are single-use materials and will be revisited within the first cycle. Appropriate strategy cards, training games, and quick-look assignments complement the work with the topic book and the workbooks.
