Together with the workbooks, the learning environments form the core of the textbook. Because of their relevance to everyday life, they motivate the students to deal with the content in an active and explorative way. They are suitable for learning together in a class or in groups.

Grouping the material
Grouping the material makes it easier for teachers to differentiate. It is clearly visible which contents are to be worked on by all students and which lead beyond the basic material.

The contents are divided into four groups:

• Learning assessment and repetition
• grounding
• Consolidation and continuation
• Mini-projects

Easy retrieval of theory
In the learning environments, new terms and rules are referred to a detailed glossary in the appendix of the textbook. The keywords of all "mathbuch" textbooks are summarized in an online lexicon, enriched by examples and graphics.

Strengthening automated practice
The new "mathbuch" places more emphasis on automated practice. Already in the textbook, training units can be found under the headings "arithmetic training" and "head geometry". For those who need more practice material, there is a reference to the interactive online exercises.
