A collection of seven very different speeches and radio addresses by the great Christian, who can also correct the arrogance of theologians with the depth of his philological expertise and common sense. In our time, there is hardly a comparable example of the testimony power that a layperson can radiate. C. S. Lewis was born in Belfast in 1898, was severely wounded in World War I, then studied Latin, Greek, English, and Philosophy at Oxford, where he served as a lecturer and tutor until 1954, and then became a professor of medieval and Renaissance English literature at Cambridge. He filled the largest lecture halls. He died on the day of John Kennedy's assassination, November 22, 1963. He bequeathed two-thirds of his estate to the poor. He published over forty works: several masterpieces on English literature, essays on various issues.
