Marta und Arthur

Marta is a student, and Arthur is a trainee teacher. Arthur is interested in Marta, and Marta feels drawn to Arthur – neither of them knows exactly why. Marta is inexperienced and naive, while Arthur is a taciturn loner. Nevertheless, they begin an affair, eventually have a child, and remain a couple for over 40 years. Katja Schönherr tells the story of two people who, despite their deep mutual aversion, cannot separate for decades – holding up a profound mirror to many relationships.
