Mariologische Gedanken in den 'Sermones mariani“ des hl. Antonius

St Anthony of Padua is known, loved and revered above all as an advocate for the poor. The fact that he was also a learned and extremely gifted preacher often remains in the shadow of the "popular saint". From his extensive oeuvre of sermons, the author analyses and systematises those that deal with Marian topics. The study of the so-called Sermones mariani summarises the saint's Mariological thinking and shows his sources, inspirations and innovations. There is no need to speak of a closed Mariology, but it is noticeable how many topics that were later dealt with as part of the treatise Mariology are already present in Antonius.
