Product details
The most beautiful Native American woman to ever exist in Germany was the French actress Marie Versini. Her name is inseparably linked to the legendary Karl May film series of German cinema. Alongside Lex Barker and Pierre Brice, she played the chief's daughter Nscho-tschi, who falls hopelessly in love with Old Shatterhand and ultimately dies at the hands of ruthless murderers. Hailing from Corsica, Marie Versini was much more than just the congenial actress of a mythical character from Karl May's fantasy world. The multiple 'Bravo-Otto' and 'Bambi' award winner became an icon for an entire generation of young people in Germany in the years leading up to the student revolt. The book chronicles her career with 173 photos and recounts her touching love affair with the former Hollywood star Lex Barker.
