Mani Matter is considered part of Swiss cultural heritage, and public interest in him and his chansons remains strong. For two generations, the Mani Matter songbooks published in 1969, 1973, and 1992 have passed through countless hands. The colorful booklets with handwritten notes have charm but are not entirely user-friendly for reading and playing. The new sheet music and lyrics book created by Ben Vatter is a contemporary edition of all songs by Mani Matter for which original recordings exist, as well as the most well-known ones.
