Numerous graphic illustrations and reproductions from books accompany the text. Additionally, works by Jost Hochuli from the past thirty years are presented and thoroughly and critically commented on by Robin Kinross. A selected bibliography and two different indexes conclude the book. Hochuli is one of the best book designers in Europe; he belongs to the generation that became known for the so-called Swiss typography. Influenced by Basel (with Emil Ruder) and Zurich (with Josef Müller-Brockmann and others), the designers primarily worked with sans-serif typefaces and maintained an asymmetrically structured grid typography.
