Madeline Diener, sculptures et mosaïques

Madeline Diener (1930-2000) created sculptures and mosaics that express biblical revelation, from baptism to the field of rest, from birth to the end of earthly life. In collaboration with her patrons, this artist aimed to illuminate elements of nature through the lens of the Holy Scriptures: light, water, and garden, which have become sacred signs. She drew upon images from the early traditions of the Church to the present day. This synthesis of Christian faith was the result of extensive discussions with her theological advisors. To enhance the visitor experience at these sites, Marie-Jeanne Coloni, who has been involved in Madeline's research for nearly a century, presents the works selected by the artist and the scholars who supported her, particularly Monsignor Henri Satina, then Bishop of Saint-Maurice.
