Machiavelli:Die Kunst des Krieges

Niccolò Machiavelli's "The Art of War" was created around 1519/20 and is a military-tactical as well as political treatise. Machiavelli himself considered it his most important work. He describes tactics and strategies of the military during both peacetime and wartime, and his statements are based on numerous philosophers and strategists from antiquity. His political theses in this work are essentially in line with those of his other major works "Discourses" and "The Prince.".
