Product details

Luther's soteriology is embedded in his view of the overall process of the real: the irreversible becoming ('fieri') of our world (the world of our creating-personhood), which is given to us in its permanent presence and through it to be understood in the equally original asymmetrical unity of its founding and founded side. The founding side is the will and work ('opus operari') of God's creative personhood, which is founded in the absolute self-determination (=Trinity) of God and creates everything 'out of nothing but himself', i.e. within his omnipresence (beginning and continuing with the ultimate goal), the founded side: the end-goal-beginning lasting presence of the 'fieri' of our world and our 'opus operari'. Luther unfolds the Christological and Trinitarian dogma, which summarises the Christian intensification of the Old Testament creation myth (understanding of the world and of man), as the accurate description of this present 'fieri' of our world, namely as authenticated by mature (concrete) self-experience. Thus he does not see God anthropomorphically, but we humans theomorphically.
