The doll Lupinchen is very lonely and sad. To cheer her up, her friend bird Robert invites two of his best friends: the clever box man Mr. Klappaufundzu and Mr. Humpty Dumpty, the shy Englishman in egg form. Klappaufundzu boastfully cuts out a house from paper where they plan to celebrate a party. However, when a storm arises and puts them all in danger, it is the shy Mr. Humpty Dumpty who steps in as the savior. Lupinchen is now a classic of children's literature.
