&raquo,Angry Cripples&laquo, is the name given to disabled people who are accused of being bitter because of their disability. This book reclaims and recasts the term. Only disabled people have their say &ndash, and many of them are angry about how society treats them. And rightly so. Here they make their voices heard in order to help shape an inclusive society. Among other things, they write about pre-natal diagnostics, self-determined sexuality, visibility and social media. The contributions represent the great diversity of disabled realities in our society: there are fictional texts, scientific contributions, drawings, interviews and incendiary speeches. An unprecedented project that shows the high value of self-determination and whets the appetite for a truly inclusive society.
