Lugano-Übereinkommen (LugÜ)

Procedures with international connections have become a part of everyday practice in Swiss legal proceedings. However, for practitioners involved, it is generally very challenging to stay continuously updated on international civil procedural law. This is particularly demanding in European civil procedural law, where non-Swiss case law and doctrine must also be taken into account, especially the relevant decisions of the European Court of Justice (ECJ). This commentary provides this essential work for Swiss legal practice.

The first edition was the first commentary on the Lugano Convention from a Swiss perspective. Now, in its third edition, a newly revised commentary is available, which particularly considers the extensive case law regarding the revised Lugano Convention that came into force for Switzerland on January 1, 2011.
