Motivating reading tasks from grade 1 that include numerous phonetically challenging words with consonant clusters (e.g., wreath, plum, sock) and multiple syllables. After completing the reading course, children can practice these words independently and playfully at the LÜK station. They will combine syllables or word parts into words and read words and simple sentences with comprehension. Solutions are provided by matching images, words, sentences, or sentence parts. A variety of reading exercises with rhyming words, reading boards, guessing games, nonsensical sentences, and answering simple questions promote the development of successful reading strategies based on the latest linguistic research. The exercises are tailored to the experiences of children in the first and second grades.
