Lübeckische Geschichte

The handbook and reference work in the 4th improved and supplemented edition ranges from the first historical beginnings of Lübeck to the present day of today's metropolis. Lübeck's path through the Hanseatic and Reformation periods, the 17th century, the Age of Enlightenment, Biedermeier and industrialisation is traced to the present day. Nine historians, from academia or otherwise involved in Lübeck's history, address both the layman and the expert with their explanations. In seven chapters and three excursuses, the course of Lübeck's history is presented in detail and in a lively manner over some 1,000 pages.
