Some play the lottery, even though they assume they'll never win anything, while others imagine a new life for themselves every week. Anton Gruber, known as Toni, knows them all. He owns a small kiosk in Cologne: newspapers, chocolate bars, lottery ticket sales. Toni himself is an optimist, but he is not happy. What he lacks, the men in his lottery pool, Jackpott, all agree on, is a woman. And since you can't win one in the lottery, Toni is supposed to try online dating. What Erol, Sebastian, and Tom didn't expect is that Toni would become the prime suspect in a murder case. It starts harmlessly. Toni meets women who either have a lot of cats or no money at all, and he wants to give up. Then he meets Greta. Suddenly, even Toni can imagine a completely different life; it finally seems like he might have some luck. But that doesn't last long. When Greta doesn't show up for their date and seems to have vanished without a trace, the lottery pool turns into a very special investigation team, and Toni's kiosk becomes the headquarters for their inquiries.
