WOA Heroes – faster, harder, louder! The cartoon book for the Wacken Open Air by Kim Schmidt. WOA – the Heavy Metal Festival celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2014 and has become as much a part of Schleswig-Holstein as agriculture, livestock farming, and the waterfront. Kim Schmidt, a comic artist from northern Germany and creator of the Hedwig Holzbein card and the Local Heroes, has visited the festival multiple times and discovered it as a source of inspiration. For several years, he has provided Wacken Open Air with cartoons about the festival happenings. Just in time for the anniversary, his WOA cartoons are now being published in book form, freely under the motto: Faster, louder, harder! A book for all Wacken fans and those who have always wanted to know what it's all about!.
